EASY SAID UP HIGH was shot in London, Paris and Rio de Janeiro in isolation during quarantine. This is a heartwarming, uplifting dramedy that was filmed individually in isolation respecting the COVID-19 restrictions.

Two best friends, living in London and Paris, meet regularly to sit on rooftops and talk about their lives and its complications. When the pandemic makes their routine impossible they try to find ways to stay close while being separated.

Director Biography – Janin Stenzel, Lena Stamm

LENA
Lena Stamm was born 1981 in Bamberg, Germany. After graduating from the prestigious Film University Babelsberg Konrad Wolf and her first professional years in German theatres, Lena started to work internationally as an actress and writer. Her first stop was Budapest, and during that time she won awards for Best Actress and Actress of the Year for Roland Schimmelpfennig‘s The Woman Before. On returning to Germany, she worked in numerous cities and won the 2015 Monica Bleibtreu Award for her performance in Friedrich Hebbel’s Maria Magdalena. Lena recently appeared in the web series Einfach Maria and the short film Shame, and she played the lead in the short film The Touch in Los Angeles.
On stage, she has performed the title role in Heinrich von Kleist’s Marquise of O… at Staatstheater Stuttgart. Lena just finished writing and producing the English-Swedish film Dom outtyrckta – The Unexpressed, which will be released in 2021.


JANIN

Janin Stenzel was born 1983 in East Berlin, Germany. While still studying at the renowned Film University Babelsberg Konrad Wolf she won the award for Outstanding Ensemble Performance at the German Drama School festival. After graduating Janin worked for various film and theatre productions in Germany and started building her career in the USA, France, Brazil and the UK.
Janin put her linguistic skills to good use in her solo piece The Guitar Man by Jon Fosse. She performed the German version in Basel and Berlin, the French version in Paris and also an English version after moving to London.
Janin’s work as a voiceover artist includes numerous dubbing and audiobook productions. She is the German voice of Claire Foy, Shailene Woodley, Zoe Kazan and Jena Malone. During her stays in Rio de Janeiro Janin wrote and directed her first short films A Aula de Alemão and Traumwandeln.
