The title, derived from a Zulu phrase meaning “All the best” or “Peace be upon you” – is a call for all black women to come and exist as they truly are: relieved from the pressures of a society that continually maligns them. This experimental film reimagines a world where women finally experience their first dance with freedom.

Director Biography – Khule Mayisa

Khule Mayisa is a director, photographer and stylist based in the heart of South Africa: Johannesburg. With a passion for uplifiting women and drawing inspiration from their experiences, Khule has amassed a number of films that seek to empower and free women from the bondage of preconveived ideas that exist about them.
