A day that symbolizes the determination of Africans to free themselves from foreign exploitation and dominance. Acknowledging the progress Africa have made – success and challenges. The Film highlights three (3) countries on the (Ghana, Rwanda & Kenya); the success, the cultural and economic potential that exists on the African continent. Each year, Africa Day brings a new theme, and for this year 2022 it was Nutrition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The First Congress of Independent African States was\u00a0held in Accra, Ghana in 1958. Africa day, originally celebrated April 15, marks an onward progress of the liberation movement. A day that symbolized the determination of Africans to free themselves from foreign exploitation and dominance. As more African countries gained independence; there arose a need for an organization who would articulate the needs of the people. On May 25 1963, thirty plus (30+) African countries converged in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia (hosted by Emperor Haile Selassie) and thus, the Organization of African Unity (OAU) was formed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
