The African Smartphone International Film Festival (ASIFF) has closed submission for its 3rd<\/sup> annual edition, theme: The Future is Here<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ASIFF received a total 550 films from 60 countries. The event will run from 6th<\/sup> \u2013 8th<\/sup> December 2019 at the Magnificent Cinemas, Lagos Nigeria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ASIFF\nfounder and executive director Michael Osheku said the 2019 edition is a\nspecial one and it is open for the public and industry delegates to experience\nthe future of filmmaking and the cinema, the festival has a lineup of amazing\nAfrican and International short films, feature films, documentaries, animations,\nweb series and music videos made with mobile device. And will also features; workshops,\nmaster classes, panel discussions, pitch panels, short film market, networking\nevent and award ceremony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Smartphone\nfilmmaking age has come, we are celebrating smartphone filmmakers and their\nworks. It is no longer the question of can a great film be made with smartphone?\nthis is the time to experience the beautiful, creative and powerful art of storytelling\nusing pocket device.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every\nyear we launch new generation of talents, and this year\u2019s\nselection is the future of cinema and it is mind altering.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Smartphone\ntechnologies are increasingly playing a major part in film production,\ndistribution and reception. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At\nthis year\u2019s festival we are training and exploring the limitless\npossibilities of using a smartphone. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
