Synopsis
In the heart of a snowy Canadian winter, a young international student finds himself isolated, unwelcome, and forgotten in the basement of his host family’s home. Ill-prepared for the harsh weather and colder treatment, he grapples with homesickness, neglect and the crushing realization of abandonment. When a new student arrives, full of hope and excitement, the resident student extends a warm hand of friendship, only to watch his new companion quickly flee the uncomfortable reality because he had a choice.
