Director Biography – Mickies Kiros
In his quest to become a good storyteller, Mickies Kiros is a budding filmmaker. As an avid fan of cinema, philosophy, and the visual arts, he fell in love with the visual story-telling aspect of photography and how each image could be manipulated with the right techniques to communicate a message to its viewers. As an explorer at heart, Mickies packed an old phone to take with him on his journey back to Ethiopia and the video clips he collected would later culminate into his first film titled, “ሀገሬ” which translates to, my country in Amharic.
