Jake, Wily, Rachel, Val, & Dan are employees at a movie theater. They enjoy working at an establishment that provides them the opportunity to discuss their favorite subject: movies. But the building’s owner, Harold, plans to sell off the property since movie going doesn’t seem profitable anymore. Random people start disappearing; while simultaneously, strange, and unexplainable things begin happening. Will they live to see another movie?
Director Biography – Ian Courtney
Ian Courtney has been involved in the Detroit film community for over twenty years. He started out by working at a Blockbuster Video, then worked at a Landmark Theater for five years. He did internships at the Allied film advertising agency and the independent film school, The Detroit Film Center. He was a film critic for Real Detroit for two years. He attended film classes at Oakland Community College, the Detroit Film Center, Wayne State University and The Motion Picture Institute. He then worked on fifteen feature film productions as a crew member that ranged from $200 thousand to $120 million. His feature film debut, MOVIE THEATER MASSACRE, is currently making its way through the festival circuit.
