A young refugee who is in the wrong place at the wrong time finds himself drawn into the status play of three white Australians, with devastating consequences.

Director Biography – Kerreen Ely-Harper

Kerreen is a filmmaker and creative media researcher. She has written and directed a number of film projects including documentaries, short drama, dance, machinima, corporate and educational videos. She directed the virtual 3D Foul Whisperings, Strange Matters (2008-2010), an adaptation of Shakespeare’s Macbeth in Second Life. She is a recipient of three ATOM (Australian Teachers of Media) nominations: Even Girls Play Footy nomination, Best Secondary Education Resource, 2012; Parts of a Horse, nomination, Best Short Film, 2003; In Her Own Words, winner, Best Education Resource, 1997. Her short doc, Girls Can Do Anything, recently won the Best Film Award, Spiritus Film Festival, 2020. Kerreen is currently in post production for her half hour documentary, Close To The Bone (Spirited Films) a recipient of Screen Australia development funding, 2014.
