NURU, is a young girl from a typical community from the coastal region of Kenya. She has passed her national exams and emerged 4th position national wide with hope of joining Egerton university and take a course in Electrical engineering. Her father has a large debt and Kahindi, the area local chief has an eye for her for a second wife. He proposes to marry her in order to repay himself. Her step mother Zubeda suggests that her daughter Anisa should use Nuru’s results to join campus. Nuru also faces another challenge as her step brother wants her hand in marriage.
Nuru has to face all this not forgetting that her step mother practices witchcraft!
