Amidst the pressure of keeping her acting career afloat, a young struggling Nigerian-American Actress with ADHD, is forced to acknowledge the trauma of an abusive relationship in order to heal. From there, she embarks on a remarkable journey of divine ascension. As she ascends to a place of love within herself, she learns to accept herself which leads to her re-emergence as an infinite endless star.
Idia Ojo is a 25-year-old Nigerian-American Filmmaker and Actress. She was born in Brooklyn, NY and was a Collegiate Science Technology Program Scholar at Columbia University. She graduated in 2018 and decided to pursue acting and film. Her hobbies include watching Stranger Things, singing karaoke and skateboarding.
During the quarantine, she wrote, directed, filmed and composed the music for her own short film called The Rebirth of a Goddess. It was a short film about a young struggling Nigerian-American Actress with ADHD that sets on a remarkable journey of healing in order to reconnect with her own divine power. This project is now an Official Selection of the Indie Boom Film Festival in collaboration with The Art of Brooklyn Film Festival and has been awarded Honorable Mention. Recently it was nominated for an award at the Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival and was pre-selected for the African Smartphone International Film Festival.
