The first and most prestigious smartphone film festival in Africa is calling filmmakers, video content creators and Animators to submit their project for the 5th edition of the African Smartphone International Film Festival.
Africa Smartphone film festival was founded in 2017, by Nigeria filmmaker Michael Osheku who saw the need for new emerging filmmakers in Nigeria and Africa to start experimenting and making a film with their pocket device.

PLEASE READ SUBMISSION GUIDELINES BEFORE SUBMITTING. ONLY FILMS SHOT ON SMARTPHONES/TABLETS OR WEBCAMS WILL BE REVIEWED.
DSLR, compact cameras or hybrid android cameras are not acceptable
Use of additional equipment professional or homemade is allowed, include (but not limited to external microphones, wide angles lens, light etc.
Any software can be used to edit the video and audio as well as colour correction or special effects is allowed.
All foreign submissions containing spoken language(s) other than English must be subtitled in English.
Copyright materials is not acceptable unless there is a written permission to do so (ASIFF) is not liable for any copyright material unlawfully used.
The film must be an original production. It may not infringe on the copyright, trademark or other rights of any organisation.
Applicant grants ASIFF a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive right and license to use, publish, reproduce, screen, modify, broadcast the Film as well as the unrestricted use of the Film for any purpose, without compensation to the Applicant. This includes not just the ASIFF screening party but any other promotional and/or editorial and/or to be determined use.
Film submissions should include two or more behind-the-scene photos and/or videos. Applicant grants ASIFF perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive rights to use, publish, reproduce, screen, modify, broadcast and distribute these behind-the-scenes materials, as well as the names of the Film, its filmmakers and cast and crew, and any descriptions of the Film for any purpose, without compensation to the Applicant.
NOTE: Title of Film, Name of Director, Duration, Country of Production, Name of Smartphone/Tablet must be printed clearly and consistently on all submitted materials (i.e. Submission Form & Raw Footage Proof).
